Step 1: Have a ton of money.
Great presentation - love the little toys. I was searching to see which lenses you used in the different spots of the church and ceremony. That would have really delivered your introduction lead. Thanks!
Great demo!
This is how I do my weddings, the only thing I am lacking is a second shooter, and so I make it work for me. I am glad to see that someone else actually does what I do. It makes me feel like I am doing something right😂😂. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Such a solid video. Thank you.
That so so helpful!! Thanks!!
Great stuff.
Wow!
Wow!! Amazing video! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! This is really helpful.
Great tips, great strategy / game-plan. (I am the "Hey, can you do us a favor and take a few snapshots during the ceremony?" friend, and I'm a little anxious about it. They didn't hire a pro, so I am all they've got (except for some cellphone pix). ... Thanks again, Christine, for your advice and expertise!!!
Thank you so much for your video references!
Oh my gosh. I have watched probably every video on UA-cam on how to shoot a wedding ceremony, and this has by far been my favourite 🤣 I LOVE your use of figurines to explain the process and the image examples to follow. Thank you for such an awesome walk through! Very well done,
Incredibly informative and helpful! Thanks!
Thanks so much, value this
Where is your lens shade? That thing is sooooo important when it comes to lens flare and dropping. Anyway..
Thank you Christine! I have my first wedding today and this has been super helpful.
2nd shooter totally ruined your kiss shot. DON'T MIRROR. or you will keep seeing each other in your photos.
What's tough is when you cannot go around the back--if the ceremony is up against a wall, and there's a large wedding party taking up most of the front.
So you shoot the hole wedding with the 70-200? WOW.
Thank you so much for this video. The toy models were excellent, especially for the visual learner like myself!
i prefer 35mm and 85mm
I do not have 2 camera bodies. I wish i did. I'm doing my first wedding next week and I'm not sure if I would want to switch lenses during the ceromony. Should I go in with my 50mm or my 85mm?
Well-executed. I like the idea of using the figurines as it is the closest to a real-life situation. Well done and thank u for sharing.
One of the first things to do is to speak with the church officiant and ask about the church RULES for photographers. Not every venue allows you to stand in all the positions mentioned in the video. I have actually been told on a several occasions that I was not allowed anywhere but in the back of the church (sometimes in the balcony), never in the center aisle and never closer than the last occupied pew.
Oh man I’ve assisted for a Hasidic Jewish wedding and we are totally on top of the couple and I’m talking 2 photographers 2 videographers 2 assistant. Different wedding different way of how they approach the events
I love the little toys. I bet your child was wondering where his toys went
Thank you so much for this! I’m shooting my first wedding next weekend and this is so helpful!!
As a videographer i hate photographers that make a big deal for videographer not to stand on the aisle to film. what photographers want is a clean wide shot of the ceremony just 1 image but they dont understand as a videographer we also have a more important job to do cover the ceremony in full. Videographers dont have the luxury to click a few snaps and more around to get angels. We need to be parked in the best spot. Videgraphers have to record the whole thing and the most main safe shot is from the aisle not matter what anyone says!!!!
Thank you so much, This gave me so much clarity for my first wedding and I feel so much more comfortable going in!
Very insightful
This is awesome!! Thanks!! Two questions, 1: are you on 24-70 first during isle walk then 70-200 during vows etc? 2: what aperture are you on mainly during bride isle walk and the kiss? Thanks a bunch
Very clear ant to the point, thank you
Curious to what camera settings do you usually leave your camera on given that you're switching places so often
Great tips. I normally don't have a second shooter. But I am offering that now. These tips will help thank you.
This was fantastic content!
This was so clutch. Thank you !
this was a great video, thank you!
I wasn’t sure if I was gonna like this video because you had a bunch of toys as the layout. But it actually was even better than using real people because you could see the whole layout and how to do everything. Well done thank you
I get getting the couple kissing from that angle is good, but have your second shooter at least out of the way for one of the shots! otherwise, great video and very informative! and thank you for making it.
I had to pause this video , just to say using the characters is a great idea! It's like watching a overhead view of the wedding, great lesson! Im subscribing lol
This is the best explanation of how to shoot the ceremony that I’ve seen for a beginning wedding photographer. Well done!
I honestly began also thinking 'seriously, little dolls?' but a few seconds later was completely along for the ride! lol Fantastic video, really concise, useful information. Thank you! x
Wow!
Really helpful. Thank you...
So helpful! I am a photography by hobby and someone asked me to shoot their wedding. I said yes and went straight to researching. Your video has helped me understand not getting in the way so much. My own wedding photographer was completely invisible during her time shooting - no one noticed her. I imagine you are similar. Thanks for the tips.
I’ve shot hundreds of weddings and have never had a second shooter. Never had any complaints.
Excellent and simple explanation .. Great video
Thanks for the tips, I’m not a professional wedding photographer, I do another kind of photos, but my friend asked me to take photos on her small wedding. I couldn’t say no! So I am studying to learn before the big day.
Shooting my first wedding this weekend, thankyou so much with the advice on positioning, the little models were an excellent idea to help me visualise and remember these tips better. Thanks again for a great video. 📷✌️💜
